Construction Status - Thanks to a very dedicated and professional construction crew, the Mississippi Animal Rescue League's Gertrude C. Fords' Animal Welfare Center is starting to take shape. I even bought my own hard hat so I could walk the premises and see everything up close.
Once they get the roof on, the rest of the work will follow quickly and we are hoping for a final "walk through" in January, with a grand opening sometime around the end of February or the first of March.
Santa Claus is coming to Town - Please mark your calendars. Pet Photo's with Santa will be December 2nd and 9th at the Quality Pet Shop, 4206 Hwy 80 West, just west of Metro Center (the old Paradise Pool building) from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. For $15.00 you receive six 4 x 6 color prints and easy pick up from Deville Camera. Critical need at the shelter right now is Dry Adult Dog Food. We need Purina, Pedigree or IAMS No Old Roy.
